MARSHALL’S EXTRA SPICY TAKES: NFL WEEK 4

Zach Wilson: Competent QB?

For one game. Wilson’s opening drive was the best of his career. We shall see if he can build upon it before the media buries him.

C.J. Stroud continues to impress

The Texans have to feel good about what they’ve seen from the rookie QB and beating a good Pittsburgh defense on his first attempt.

Carr/Kamara Connection is up and running

Carr battling his AC joint injury and above average defense of Tampa limited his shots down field, leaving ample opportunities for Kamara. Bucs defense made sure that was of no concern as Baker Mayfield looks like a division winning QB.

For Goodness Sake, Sit Joe Burrow

He’s only going to get hurt back there as his pathetic attempt against an average secondary of the Titans only kept his team from winning. King Henry Dominated and threw for more TDs in this game than Joe.

49ers

They sleep through another beatdown of division rival Arizona. Purdy looks good, and we will see if pressure will make him throw off his spot with similar accuracy against the vaunted Dallas D.

Cowboys/Bills Playing Angry

Bad news, Belichickians. Your team is horrible and it’s only going to get worse. Wilson looks way better than Jones; the Bills snuffed the Dolphins who just laid a 70-steamer the week before and you’re 1-3. No amount of defensive scheming will salve two pick-6s (and two more that were dropped). You’re lucky you didn’t lose by 50. It’s time for a change in Foxboro.

All Most There…

The Commanders are close to being a legit contender in the NFC, and even though they lost to the NFC champ Eagles in OT, if you’re a fan, you have to like what you see. Brian Robinson is for real, and if Sam Howell can get through his progression faster, the have a shot at a wildcard berth.

Denver, Minnesota, Chicago, Carolina

These XFL teams are exciting games when they play each other. None are quite ready for the NFL just yet.
